Concord Stud Farm is a 249-acre farm in Cream Ridge, located
in the heart of New Jersey. David and his family have lived on
the farm for 24 years. Concord Stud Farm breeds, boards, and
raises primarily Standardbred mares and foals.
David and his family are very aware of the environment and
the challenges it faces. To this end, they combat flies using wasp
larvae and maintain a flock of sheep to help with weed control to
avoid using pesticides and herbicides. The horses are fed Purina
Strategy OvalsŪ and Western alfalfa hay, as well as having access
to approximately 238 acres of rolling pasture. These pastures are
why Cream Ridge is considered to be a "Little Lexington" in
New Jersey. Having sold the development rights, meaning that the
property will never be developed, the farm will continue to be
devoted to raising horses for years to come.
